Island Activities Quick Reference
www.IslandScooters.com
Anna Maria is a no rush no hurry Island. The pace is slow and relaxing.
Its quaint charm is inviting. The beach is always beautiful. You will often
find interesting shells as you stroll. If you enjoy fishing you don’t have
to go far. Fishing from the beach can be just as good as from a boat.
The water is clear for snorkeling, scuba and swimming.
Around 6:00 pm take a look out about 50 yards off shore and you will see
the dolphins swim and feed. Don’t worry they won’t bother you, if you are
in the water.
The town has interesting shops from beachwear clothing and
accessories, antiques, gifts and souvenirs, shells, house wares
and local art.
The restaurants offer all types of cuisine from burgers, ribs and pizza
to seafood and homemade ice cream and range from casual eating
on a pier to elegant five-star gourmet dining.
If you like the night life, outdoor and indoor bands can be found within
just a few miles. There is truly something for everyone.
Publix and Walgreens are just 2 miles away for your grocery and health
needs.
There are free shuttle buses running throughout the day to transport you
wherever you want to go on the Island.
Our tropical weather brings our northern and European friends down for
months at a time in the winter, and the cool Island breezes make the
summer months just as relaxing.
Unlike most Florida coastlines, Anna Maria is an unspoiled refuge.
There are no high-rises, so you can enjoy the simplicity and tranquility
that you are looking for on your get- away vacation or the perfect
honeymoon.
